Bug Description

I get this error when trying to upgrade to ubuntu-artwork 8:
update-alternatives: unable to make /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme.dpkg-tmp a symlink to /etc/alternatives/x-cursor-theme: No such file or directory

This might be because I have cleaned out dangling symlinks in /etc/alternatives after some cronjob keapt sending mails about broken links there...

sudo mkdir /usr/share/icons/default
sudo dpkg --configure --pending

A fixed ubuntu-artwork package has been uploaded already

 ubuntu-artwork (9) dapper; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/dirs:
     - updated the icon theme dirname
