Bug Description

Dell Mini 9 on Ubuntu 8.10 i386

Related to bug 288845 which uses the server kernel as a workaround to make Ethernet work.
Using the server kernel makes the Ethernet work, but the Wireless module for the Broadcom BCM4312 does not load. Drivers are not being offered in jockey either. Requesting to have both kernels support both pieces of hardware.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If the issue remains, could you run the following command from a
Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) while running Karmic. It
will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this
report.

apport-collect -p linux 345647

Thanks in advance

Tested on 9.10 where it is no longer an issue. The driver was installed by using jockey-gtk to activate "Broadcom STA wireless drivers" which I believe is the bcmwl-kernel-source package.
