Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-device-manager

I think gnome-device-manager should be improved with hwinfo info as today is a useless app (in fact it is nor installed by default). A good example of it is hardinfo that is a great tool. Why not provide ubuntu users with a good and complete device manager installed by default?

I think that gnome-device-manager should also list, for every device, the module in use (and if it is gpl compliant or not and, if it is a third party driver, provide the user with the option to pass to a gpl module, if it exists) and, for me, at that point, jockey could be also useless.
