Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasmoid-network-manager

I have this bug on 2 different computer (with Kubuntu Jaunty Alpha 5).
On a Dell Studio 1535 the wireless network list is hidden by the bar, as you can see in this image:
http://www.iouppo.com/pics3/5cc211b3f91058c4bcdaffb4de746e34.png
(obviusly the white bars are added by myself).
On a Dell XPS M1330, the wireless netowrk list is hidden only if it catch a new wireless signal.
Sorry for my english, I hope you understand ;)

I realized that the same problem is not only if the plasmoid is placed in the bar, but also in the desktop.

I can confirm this, too. The Plasma applet does not appear to be properly resized when a greater number of wireless networks are available than when the applet first started.

Priority LOW? sorry, this is a verry annoying bug!!
Sometimes this makes it impossible to connect to a network trough the widget!

I rather have a program (like a browser) that crashes here and there,
then not being able to open a site/mail/... at all, due to a resize problem.

I know this is a bug in the original software code, and that the widget isn't 100%, still,
when you launch a product like a new Kubuntu, these problems should be corrected.

And if the developer at kde doesn't, the ubuntu/kubuntu team should.

Sorry if I sound demanding or so, but wireless networking has to often been a problem in kubuntu.
Please make it work properly in this new release, I would make 9.04 the best one yet...

But hey, I understand, probably you guys/girls have a lot of work :) and everyones has his/here priorities :)

After i restart the Networkmanager (by using the initscript) the plasma widget now sorts the VPN on top, beneath the LAN and on bottom the WLANs. But the WLAN window is only as high as the other two windows so i cannot see a single wireless network. There is simply not enough space for showing the network list, only the header of the window is shown with the "connected" or "disconnected" information and the "Enable" checkbox.

This renders the widget unusable!

I'm surprised this is a low priority since this bug affects the usability of the widget. Simply adding a scrollbar to the list of available connections would go a long way toward solving the problem.

This bug has low priority because is't only annoying. You can uncover all networks by clicking small icon on the left from text "Wireless" (extender will collapse) and clicking it again (extender will raise and resize to contents) - this is bug in Qt and you can read about it in http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=186820.
