Nautilus - repeated crash/restarts while starting Jaunty LiveCD Alpha5

Binary package hint: nautilus

When starting the Alpha 5 live cd under VMWare Fusion Nautilus goes in an indefinite crash/restart loop. Killing it and trying to start via command line gives this crash dump -

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please try to obtain a valgrind log following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

I have the same problem with the Alpha 6 release running on VMware Workstation 6.5.1

Nautilus continually crashes and relaunches. I have attached the .xsession-errors file where the errors are recorded.

Here is an strace for just a few seconds of the x-session-manager which is continually launching nautilus.

BTW, this still happens on Alpha 6 - the valgrind log is in fact from Alpha 6 live boot.
