Bug Description

Situation:

Server:

Windows XP Professional SP 3, all updates installed
Folder: c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Gemeinsame Dateien\ is shared as "dokumente_jupiter"
User "thomas" has full access to this folder (and all subfolders)

Client:

Ubuntu 8.10

When i try to mount the above mentioned shared XP-Folder on my Ubuntu-Box with the command:

smbmount //jupiter/dokumente_jupiter/ /media/jupiter/ -o rw,username=thomas,password=xxxxxx,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,uid=1000,gid=1000,nounix

i don't get write-permissions to the folder:

dr-xr-xr-x 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-02-24 15:14 jupiter

Inside the folder it looks like that:

drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-01-17 14:48 110109
drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-02-25 13:38 24.02.2009 Fasching
-rwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 62 2008-01-12 16:18 desktop.ini

drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-02-09 16:49 Filebase
drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-01-18 10:41 moonlight
drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-01-22 17:42 Oma110109
drwxrwxrwx 1 thomas thomas 0 2009-01-22 17:42 Oma311208

I thought it has something to do with the spaces in the filenames, but on the second folder it works with a space in the filename. Perhaps it's an issue with those weird "virtual folder names" that xp uses: Inside c:\dokumente und einstellungen\all users\ the folder is named "gemeinsame dateien", after opening the folder by double-clicking it, it is named "c:\dokumente und einstellungen\all users\dokumente".
