Bug Description

Please backport espeak 1.40.02-0ubuntu1 from Jaunty to Intrepid. It builds, installs and works fine on Intrepid without changes, and this new version adds a Catalan voice, amongst other improvements.

Package libgnome-speech7 will also need to be backported, else GNOME's accessibility features won't work with eSpeak.

This may need some more testing before we backport something as important as libgnome-speech7 across.

Per Jonathan's last comment, I'm going to mark this 'Incomplete', until you guys can confirm that both packages have been tested adequately on Intrepid. After that, please mark 'Confirmed' again, and the ubuntu-archive team will handle this request.

Thanks,
:-Dustin

Also unsubscribing ubuntu-archive so that we keep our list clear for things that we can actually take action on right now. Please resubscribe ubuntu-archive when there's something we can do.
