this happened to mee too, the last three times directly at the start of KDE.
Hardware: Thinkpad T61 (Core2Duo, Intel Graphic)
Software: Kubuntu Jaunty Beta, last updates yesterday (linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64)

These crashes all seem to happening whenever X crashes, and its perfectly reasonable for any X app to crash when X dies.

For those of you still having this problem, you should file a bug against xorg-server or somesuch about a driver crash and attach a copy of your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old files, as a well as a copy of the output of lspci -vvnn (two v's, not a w) so that the new bug can properly be triaged.
