Indicator applet needs location

Bug Description

Currently the applet is added where ever the user clicks to add it to the panel. This is not ideal as it puts it in odd places. It needs a default place to go.

Messaging seems like the least important thing I can think of to add to the panel...I would suggest placing it to the left (unless there is something else which should be placed to the left of this)

Yes, since it's not always present, it should be on the far left.
Unfortunately, we put the gnome panel notification area there, and its
size varies. So for 9.04 perhaps we should put it just to the right of
the notification area?

It would be easier on upgrades if we could say "all the way to the left"
so it would shift depending on what's in the notification area. Then
put it to the right of the notification area on new installs? I have no
issue with it moving along with the notification area though.

If it is put on the right of tne notification area, maybe the "handle" should be removed so it appears to blur in it - the "disk manager applet" (not sure about the translation, my system is in french) is working this way already.

Or else, put it in a leveled box - the aesthetic effect of having two handles side by side is quite disastrous.

I'm marking this has high priority as I think it needs to be fixed before UI freeze.

Are we happy with the location currently in Jaunty? Does the handle stay? We need to have some resolution on this before UI freeze next week. :)

Given the current behavior is described as "applet is added wherever you click" and the change to the UI is to cause it to be added in a consistent location, I don't consider this to require a UI freeze exception (it should have no impact on translations or screenshots in documentation). Unsubscribing ubuntu-release - thanks for checking.

Fixed in 0.1.2 in that it's staying as proposed.
