Binary package hint: network-manager

I have a La Fonera (https://shop.fon.com/FonShop/shop/PT/ShopController?view=product&product=PRD-001) set to use WPA/WPA2 mixed TKIP

When I try to connect to it, I see the two green leds, but a seconds after it fails to connect.

What do you mean by latest? Do you mean 0.7 or the latest development version?

have you tried to tweak frequency/channel used by the AP? Also try to use "g" instead of "n" network.

Goog news, today I can connect to my wpa2/aes network. (I didn't change anything in the router)

NetworkManager version: 0.7.1~rc3.2.gitb8fc83a7-0ubuntu1 (jaunty official repo)

i don't see why latest NM might have fixed something. Most likely a driver fix then. Lets not bother if all is fine ;).
