Bug Description

GXMame is a gtk frontend to xmame, it makes it easier to use xmame.

GXMame is a frontend for XMame using the GTK library, the goal is to provide the same GUI than mame32. For the moment it will just have the same gui, the final goal is to be able to share config files with Mame32k (or any version of mame32 that write config files instead of saving data into windows registry) allowing dual booter to have the same environment (favorite, timeplayed, last game selected, gui preference...) under windows and Linux.

Licence GPL V2

hello!

there is a package [1] for this RFP bug.
maybe the packager is not interested in getting it into debian archive?

Probably Bruno Barrera (CC'ed), maintainer of xmame, is interested on
packaging/sponsoring this?

Together with Nicos Panayides (actually maintainers of the Xmame package),
we are going to be working on this.

Hello,

This is an automatic mail sent to close the ITP you have reported or
are involved with.

Your ITP wnpp bug is being closed because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 365 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.

As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be closed, for
example if the ITP is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please reopen the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily reopen
their bugs ;-).

To re-open it, you simply have to mail <email address hidden>
with a body text like this:

reopen 155473
thanks bts

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
<email address hidden> would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <email address hidden>.

A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.

Thanks for your cooperation,

I found a debian bug asking to package this application. Unfortunately there hasn't been any activity there since 24 Aug 2006. My packaging skills are still very limited to go for a new package so lets hope a more experienced packager takes the step. But I must say it's tempting :).

The application does not appear to be under active development. This reduces the chances of someone packaging it.
