Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I'm testing Luke's PPA with 9.15, and my PA mutes the sound every few minutes...
I can have a music player working, and every few secs the music just gets lower, until its mute.
Also the applet shows the Mute symbol even when the sound is not muted
