Bug Description

Binary package hint: eric

The current Ubuntu version (jaunty) doesn't have any special ubuntu change/patch, so it's ok to sync it again from Debian.

eric (4.2.5-1) experimental; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
  * Disable 06_disable-update-warning patch since it is disfunctional
  * Remove suggest and recommends for qt4-linguist, libqt3-i18
  * Add suggestion for qt4-dev-tools
  * Added GPL version to copyright file

Sorry, misread :)

Can you clarify this with a build in Launchpad PPA?
You should include a debdiff or a diff.gz from the source package with the appropriate differences (e.g. XSBC-Original-Maintainer and Maintainer control fields).

Sorry, for new upstream releases, is recommended to include the diff.gz :)

We aren't on freeze and it's the same version currently in Ubuntu but with some patches / changes. Why that procedure is needed? It's the first time someone ask me to do that.

That's wrong, for sync requests we don't require anything at all.

For a sync, no diff is required.

Marking this incomplete, because new upstream version has been uploaded:

eric (4.3.0-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
  * Fixed patched to apply correctly
