basero wont copy folder data from downloaded data

Bug Description
basero-burning disc displays "BURNING ERROR" "AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURED. CHECK YOUR DISC."
THE DISC BEING INSERTED IS NOT, REPEAT, IS NOT THE PROBLEM.
BASERO WORKED IN THE PAST.

TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH: download songs from cd to hardrive and from hardrive, using basero, select specific songs
and copy them on a blank cd. basero engages and about three minutes into "writing to cd" the BURNING ERROR
OCCURS. HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS CDs TO NO AVAIL.
