Binary package hint: compiz

I have an integrated Intel 82845G/GL video chipset and after upgrading to Intrepid I couldn't enter the desktop, as after writing my password the computer froze (not even "raising skinny elephants" works).

This happens because Compiz is now using some GPU stuff (texture_from_bitmap) which seems to be buggy in the driver for some cards (I could verify that this is the problem because running GNOME Shell also results in the same sort of freeze, and disabling tfp usage there it works). So, afaiu it is the same issue as with bug #259385.
