Bug Description

Just reported in Debian by Lolando:

It seems start-loggerhead doesn't follow symlinks when looking for
branches to serve. Current loggerhead.conf on alioth reads:

[bzr.debian.org]
name='bzr.debian.org'
cachepath='/srv/bzr.debian.org/loggerhead-cache'
auto_publish_folder = '/srv/bzr.debian.org/bzr'

/srv/bzr.debian.org/bzr/ contains a users/ directory, which in turn
contains symbolic links to branches stored in users' home directories.
loggerhead seems to ignore these branches.

Hi,

Has any progress been made on this bug? It's been open since late 2008, and because of this alioth's loggerhead instance is largely unusable.

No, no progress has been made. It should be reasonably straight forward if someone wants to make a patch.

serve-branches isn't affected by this, it follows symlinks happily as far as I can tell.
