rhythmbox doesn't play media files when you start em from nautilus

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

when i choose rhytmbox as the default playbackapplication for mp3s in nautilus and open a file rhythmbox starts but doesn't play the tune, i have to click another time on the file. sometimes it starts to play BUT a completely different file.

i'm using 8.10 and the packages are the newest from the repos

re opening the bug as per IRC conversation with Rick, the upstream bug for this is bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=592546 ; linking that as well, bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524920 might be related to it as well.

Upstream bug was closed "RESOLVED FIXED" on 2010-09-21
Confirmed working with rhythmbox 3.4.2 in Ubuntu 18.04
Closing as fixed.
