Bug Description
I was looking at "All bugs ever reported" for package ksensors, and saw a couple of bugs with "New" status. When checking further, I was surprised to see that Bug #71053 was indeed a duplicate of Bug #68825, but where the latter has status "Fix Released", the former has status "New".
This is confusing. Either:
(a) the status of duplicate bugs should be inherited -- and synchronized -- with the status of the "master bug", or
(b) the status of a bug should be set to "Invalid" when classifying it as "Duplicate".
Strangely, the IRC bot ubotu seems aware that the two bugs cited above are linked, since it says that both have status "Fix Released".

This bug is mutually exclusive with bug 3796, which suggests displaying the status of duplicate bugs as "Duplicate" in bug listings. I think that is a better idea, because it would fix bug 295224, whereas inheriting the master statuses or setting them to "Invalid" would not.
