Bug Description

This is another case of Bug #249448. As suggested in the comments, I'm reporting a separate bug with my bluetooth device ID. It is an integrated bluetooth adapter (BroadCom apparently) in the Lenovo ThinkPad T400.
USB ID: 0a5c:2145
Problem is with a "ThinkPad Bluetooth Laser Mouse" from Lenovo. It worked perfectly in Hardy 8.04, after the upgrade to Intrepid it does not reconnect after reboot even when switching the mouse off an on again. The only way to make it work is removing it from the device list and pairing it again. Very rarely it also helps switching the adapter to "always visible" and turning the mouse off and on.

Hope this gets fixed quickly as it is a really annoying regression in Intrepid and apparently many users have this problem.

Agree this is very annoying. I have the same device ID in my Thinkpad T500. Without investigating much it looks like it is a general problem with bluetooth support and not adapter specific.

One thing that looks like working is to set the adapter to "always visible" and first turn the mouse on when logged in to Gnome/KDE.

This bug affects me too. I also have the ThinkPad Bluetooth Laser Mouse. I'm trying to make it work on my ThinkPad T42 laptop on a new install of Ubuntu 9.04. Has a fix or workaround been found since last post? Setting the bluetooth adapter to "always visible" does not fix the problem for me. The mouse also gets disconnected after the laptop goes into sleep mode.
