Bug Description

I've just installed Kubuntu 8.10 Beta.
I first tried with the liveCD, but it stucks during startup. So I tried it with the Alternate install CD.
When I boot, no xsession starts (and no error is displayed), so if I login (after doing Ctrl+Alt+F1) and execute startx, an error appears. See attached Xorg.0 file.
I've got a Lenovo T400
here some specs:
# Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T9400, 6MB Cache, 2.53GHz
# RAM: 4GB (2 x 2GB, DDR-3 1066MHz)
# Display: 14.1" - WXGA+, 1440 x 900
# Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 256MB

The problem can be solved if the Switchable graphics is disabled in the BIOS settings. I do not close the bug, since I find it sad that it does not work.

Having the same problem on a Toshiba Satellite P300D with the same graphic adapter. Can't be solved, though, because in the Bios there isn't an option to disable the switchable graphics......sad
