Bug Description

I have a IOGear MiniUSB Bluetooth Adapter, ID below from lsusb:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

and My mouse is a Microsoft Laser Mouse 8000 Bluetooth

I paired my mouse/system using the bluetooth applet in GNOME (8.10) and it works; I have my Bluetooth set as always visiable, but upon reboot my mouse doesn't work. I click and mouse my mouse but nothing happens. I have to turn off my mouse and on again for the computer to see it.

root@wang-laptop:/etc/default# lsb_release -d
Description: Ubuntu 8.10

I fixed reconnecting the mouse by douwngrading the packages to these versions:

$ dpkg -l | grep -i blue
ii bluetooth 3.19-0ubuntu3 Bluetooth stack utilities
ii bluez-cups 4.12-0ubuntu5 Bluetooth printer driver for CUPS
ii bluez-gnome 1.8-0ubuntu1 Bluetooth utilities for GNOME
ii bluez-utils 3.19-0ubuntu3 Bluetooth tools and daemons
ii libbluetooth2 3.19-0ubuntu1 Library to use the BlueZ Linux Bluetooth sta
ii libbluetooth3 4.12-0ubuntu5 Library to use the BlueZ Linux Bluetooth sta

and than i followed this tutorial

I still have the problem today being up-to-date.
So I used the fixed described here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=966099.
and now it works.

Actually it doesn't work, I have to type :

$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth stop
$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth start

to make it work.

I'm having the same problem with a mighty mouse and a keyboard. The mouse always prompts me for a passphrase (which I enter as 0000) and it works from then on, unless I reboot. I then enter 0000 again. They aluminum keyboard seems to take forever to reconnect, unless I restart bluetooth by /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart.

Sorry, should have added that it worked fine in 8.04 and seems to only be a problem in Jaunty.
