It's a great tool for python development, I use it and would like to have it packaged with my favourite distribution. Not necessarily in Intrepid universe, backports would do too.

Hi,

We're very close the release of Intrepid, so new packages have to have
a very good reason to go in.

I'm going to defer these bugs until Jaunty, once they are in the distribution
in a couple of months you can request backports.
