Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

I don't have access to the system on which I found this bug right now.

1) 8.10 beta release, updated as of 10.12.2008
2) don't have exact version at hand
3) in release 8.04, the drivemount_applet2 (its process name) would show all nfs volumes in /etc/fstab, and allow the user to mount and dismount them
4) in 8.10 at this point, this applet is ignoring the same volumes in the same /etc/fstab

Could this be related to the same problem that crept up in nautilus when it switched to gvfs in hardy? (bug #195180)
