No sound with flash in firefox 3.0.3

Binary package hint: yelp

Using firefox 3.0.3 there is no sound when playing flash video/games. The audio card is working as music can be played.
ubunut 8.10 intrepid ibex, dell vostro 1400.

Please check the following things:

 1. ensure that you don't have a $HOME/.asoundrc.
 2. ensure that you have libasound2-plugins package installed.
 3. test latest packages from https://edge.launchpad.net/~crimsun/+archive
 4. test latest packages from https://edge.launchpad.net/~themuso/+archive
