Bug Description

My ASUS F3SV webcam (Syntek AVStream STK-1135 USB2.0 1.3M WebCam) worked in standard install of Hardy, but not working with Intrepid beta.

jason@phantom-laptop:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release: 8.10

jason@phantom-laptop:~$ uname -a
Linux phantom-laptop 2.6.27-5-generic #1 SMP Fri Oct 3 00:36:38 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

jason@phantom-laptop:~$ lsusb | grep -i syntek
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 174f:6a31 Syntek Web Cam - Asus A8J, F3S, F5R, VX2S, V1S

jason@phantom-laptop:~$ sudo modprobe stk11xx
[sudo] password for jason:
FATAL: Module stk11xx not found.

jason@phantom-laptop:~$ locate stk11xx
/lib/modules/2.6.24-19-generic/ubuntu/media/stk11xx
/lib/modules/2.6.24-19-generic/ubuntu/media/stk11xx/stk11xx.ko

Thus, module stk11xx is part of kernel 2.6.24-19 that was in hardy, but is not part of kernel 2.6.27-5 that is intrepid beta.

Fix: include module stk11x by default in intrepid 2.6.27-5 kernel ??
