Bug Description

I am using Kubuntu 8.10, with all packages current as of now. System was updated with update-manager -c -d.

Under Hardy, when I connected my MP3 player to the system it would show the device in the task bar. I could right click and select "mount". Then I could sync my player.

This is not working since I upgraded to Intrepid.

When I connect my MP3 player to USB, it is recognized and device /dev/sdd is created.

See the attached log that shows the kernel and HAL output from the insertion.

The "Devices recently plugged in" window opens up from the task bar, and lists IAUDIO as a device. When I hover over the entry it displays "Open with Dolphin." When I click the entry, nothing happens.

If I launch Dolphin it shows IAUDIO in the Places sidebar, but when I click on it nothing happens.

I can, however, mount the device manually, and it works fine.

$ sudo mount /dev/sdd1 /mnt/tmp
$ df -v /mnt/tmp
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdd1 29280176 28102624 1177552 96% /mnt/tmp
