Intrepid amarok conflicts with kdeartwork-theme-icon

Bug Description

The non-kde4 version of amarok (amarok-1.4.10-0ubuntu2) in intrepid currently conflicts with kdeartwork-theme-icon-4:4.1.1-0ubuntu2. As a result, installing amarok produces causes some odd icons to be used. For instance, the kickoff menu icon is replaced with what appears to be the "go back" icon from crystal.

I think that's normal, as Amarok 1.4.10 is not supposed to be run in KDE 4.x but in KDE 3.5.x
KDE 4.1 features a new Amarok, currently 2 beta 2 (available through the Kubuntu members PPA)

correctly it should read Amarok 2 beta 1, available through the Kubuntu members PPA)

I don't think this should be considered normal behavior. Almost every other kde-4.1 package is labeled by its usual name, not ending in -kde4. Amarok is in the repository, both as amarok (amarok 1.4.10) and amarok-kde4 (2 beta 1). This would be fine, except upgrading from hardy, running kde-3.5, causes both kde-4.1 and amarok (the kde3 version) to be installed. The result is a fairly broken system. As far as I can tell it is not even possible to run kde-3.5 out of the box with Intrepid, so why should the default version of amarok require it, if it conflicts with kde-4.1?

Something should be changed here, either amarok is upgraded to 2.0 or its dependencies need to be fixed so that they don't conflict with kde-4.1 packages.

Dropping crystalsvg from artwork would be reasonable because it didn't really change in a long time. Other than that this conflict is _completely_ correct.

In the case of amarok, there is and alternative, so it's not big deal.
But this bug;behavior also affects k3b, that still do not have a KDE4 version.

So what a KDE (only) user should use to burn discs in Intrepid if you can't install k3b?

This bug was fixed in the package kdeartwork - 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu2

---------------
kdeartwork (4:4.1.2-0ubuntu2) intrepid; urgency=low

  * kdeartwork-theme-icon shouldn't include crystalsvg (LP: #271319)
  * kdeartwork-theme-icon doesn't conflict kdelibs-data anymore
  * kdeartwork-theme-icon replaces kde-icons-nuvola (LP: #278637)

I now can have both kde3 apps and kde4, so thanks.
But my kde4 icons are still messed up, like having the "go" icon in k-menu.

That is a different issue.
