Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete-plugin-otr-kde4

KDE4.1, installing some themes although not applying them... rebooted machine, and now Plasma Desktop crashes. It looks like it is the trash plasmoid that is failing but unsure. What do I do? I can get into KDE4 but I have nothing (no plasma aka no desktop.)

Now booted into Gnome I see it reporting that the Kopete-plugin-otr-kde4 is what generated this crash log.

Below is a copy of /var/log/messages from right before I get the plasma failures through the restart into gnome.

The kopete thing doesn't really have anything to do with this bug. The kopete plugin failed to install last time you tried to install it, which is a separate bug in itself.

Could you get a backtrace of the Plasma crash. (You'll want to install kdebase-workspace-dbg to get a good backtrace.)
