wish: provide a way to disable logging in ~/.recently-used and ~/.recently-used.xbel

Bug Description

Every action taken is logged in ~/.recently-used and ~/.recently-used.xbel.
It should be fine to provide a way to disable this (useless?) logging.

Even if you change the perms, change the owner... it is reinitialized. The only way to avoid logging for the moment is to remove the files, and create folders with those names instead (which gives some errors message when it wants to log something).

Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use.

affecting to gtk+2.0

There is a thread opened in Brainstorm at http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/3410/ . But because this is a request to add a feature to gtk+2.0 it should be forwarded to the upstream developers instead. The BTS is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/

Thanks for your help.
