ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ apt-cache policy kontact

I booted a Dell D600 from a Kubuntu Intrepid Ibis alpha 5 CD, launched Kontact, and created a new To-do item. When I clicked the OK button in the New To-do window, the Resource Selection dialog appeared. It contained two "Default KOrganizer Resource" entries.
This is probably a configuration problem described in https:/

I can confirm this bug on a fully up to date Kubuntu Intrepid Alpha6 system. Same symptoms as described by Glen. If I create a new to do then I have the choice of 2 resources, see attached screenshot. I do see slightly different results depending on which one I click. If I choose the top one then the item is created as normal. If I click the second one then I get an error message ' Unable to save ToDo "blah" '
On my system I have: archive. ubuntu. com intrepid/main Packages dpkg/status
sudo apt-cache policy kontact

As pointed out this is the same as kde bug 140041 however there are some differences. Comment 5 states that you can go 'System Settings > Advanced > KDE resources > Calendar' and remove one of the entries, however in my case there is only one entry to start with.
The duplicate resouce entry can also be deleted from the calendar within Kontact as long as show resource view is enabled as stated comment 7 of the kde bug report. This does work. The kde bug is marked as resolved so I'm not sure what the proper course of action is here. The resolution seems to me to be a work around. The real question is why are 2 entries created in the first place. Particularly as both seem to point to the same file if you right click and choose edit in the calendar view. Specifically /home/you/ .kde/share/ apps/korganizer /std.ics
