Bug Description

On a branch page - such as https://code.launchpad.net/~bzr/bzr/trunk - I see that the branch format is "6" and the repository format is "Packs containing knits without subtree support".

While the latter at least has some useful information, "Branch format 6" means nothing to me without looking it up.

We should use the new Launchpad help system to explain what these formats mean.

@Rob -- LP gets its branch format descriptions from bzr, so Tim suggested we might add friendlier descriptions to Bazaar rather than just replace them in LP.

Well, bzr already *has* friendly descriptions; I'm not sure why you
aren't using them. Or if they aren't friendly enough, patch away :)

"Packs containing knits without subtree support" and "Development repository format - rich roots, group compression and chk inventories" perhaps contain too much technical detail for the average user.

Also, I'm no longer sure how this bug is at all bug 248900.
