Bug Description

please sync the openchange package from Debian experimental. This package is not currently present in intrepid.

It depends on the samba4 package, for which there is also a sync request open.

bug 253855 is now closed, so I think this can be synced.

MOTU Release: I think this would be a great addition to intrepid. FFe because it took slightly longer to get samba4 synced.

No bugs in debian open - though experimental might not get too many users - but we're still early in FF, so +1 from me.

Agreed. This is an important package for server team.

What kind of a reason to accept an FFe is "important package for server team" ?
So all packages that are important for someone will get a granted FFe ?
I suggest to at least wait until samba4 is in the archive and check that this build properly in intrepid.

hm... I assume openchange was test-built, right? If not, I'm happy to revert my +1, unless you can show a build log.

FFe is not the same thing as sponsoring/approving the change. The MOTU in
question is still responsible for does it build.

This particular package was the subject of extensive discussions at UDS in
server team and it's quite needed for a number of use cases.

Why did you add this?

+1, please add this support for Intrepid. Debian Lenny will (of course) have it and also Fedora 10.

Unfortunately Samba4 currently FTBFS on i386 and amd64, so until that's
fixed there's little point in bringing in openchange since we can't build
it.

Samba4 FTBFS is fixed, so this is worth looking at again. I'd still like to see it in Intrepid.

Would you care to ack/approve it then? This is a high visibility package that
was the subject of a lot of discussion at UDS. I do think we definitely want
it.
