Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

Please add the output of "apt-cache policy dolphin-kde4".
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Hi,
after installing KDE4.1 I had the same problem. Dolphin crashes, if I move one
picture into a subfolder (preview mode, but in the symbol mode too). Using
crusader, it works. The folder is not in my home directory, but another data
folder with the same rights. Where can I find apt-cache?

bye

Could you install kdebase-dbg-kde4 and get a new backtrace for KDE 4.1.1?

Hello,

having done the installation, I produced the crash again: Opening Dolphin, moved under my Home directory a text file into a subfolder /home/martin -> /home/martin/t. Find attached the crash log and don't hesitate to contact me again for further information.

A copy of your ~/.kde4/share/config/dolphinrc would be nice. ;-)

For me, this crash occurs when the preview window is open, so im guessing it is trying to display a preview of a picture which has moved, thus causing a segfault.

Fix committed upstream for KDE 4.2 RC1. Yay.
In the meantime you can work around this bug by settings EffectFadeMenu and EffectFadeTooltip to false in ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals
