Bug Description

Currently, there is a map of Ubuntu users at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWorldWide (which isn't too great), and some teams have their own maps. For example, French-speaking Ubuntu users http://ubuntu-fr.org/carte/

I would like to see an interactive Google map showing which regions and cities have teams, and which teams are approved in a similar fashion as the USTeams map on http://ubuntu-us.org/ (approved teams in greed, unofficial teams in yellow). Each region would include a link to the teams website or wiki.

A layer to show Ubuntu users might also be nice.

Hi,

Because this is a suggested enhancement, rather than a bug per se, http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ is probably a better fit for this idea.

(You can always link back to this bug report in your brainstorm suggestion)

This is something that we no longer intend to pursue as we don't have the resources and it's now out of our scope.
The existing project is on track to be disabled. If anyone wishes to take up the project feel free.
