Bug Description

Binary package hint: system-config-printer

An error message using libnotify (I think) won't stop popping up:

Not connected?
Printer 'MFC-8440' may not be connected.

My printer is turned off and I am aware of this, so I click the 'x' botton on the notification, but the error reappears every so often and seem to have a refresh rate of 3-5 seconds.

What should happen is when I click the 'x', the error message should stop popping up.

system-config-printer is now 1.0.4 instead of 0.7.81 so this may be fixed upstream and will be automatically fixed in Intrepid, but this fix should be backported (or created) for Hardy.
