Bug Description

On a Powerbook G4 12'' 867MHz (first generation) the touchpad freezes when
copying large files (30MB+) from the CD/DVD reader (not a superdrive).

As soon as copying starts mouse cursor movements become erratic, lagging and
clicking on the screen at random, until after a few seconds it freezes
completely. The problem is less severe when copying a series of small files (but
still noticeable), as it hardly lags and never gets to the point of freezing
completely

After the touchpad stops responding the only thing that seems to solve the
problem is to reboot the machine altogether. Restarting X doesn't work.

A USB attached mouse doesn't exhibit this problem, it seems to be completely
silent since I can't find any logged messages and it's easily reproducible.

Thanks.

If possible, please upgrade to Dapper's 2.6.15-7 kernel. If you do not want to
upgrade to Dapper, then you can also wait for the Dapper Flight 2 CD's, which
are due out within the next few days.

Let me know if this bug still exists with this kernel.
