Merge proposal email subject has a tab character

Bug Description

Thunderbird displays the merge proposal email subject with uneven whitespacing.
Some investigation has shown up that it's actually due to the way the email subject
is broken down. Here is the raw email text:

"""
To: Gustavo Niemeyer <...>
From: James Henstridge <...>
Subject: Merge of ~jamesh/storm/sqlobject-contains into Storm Development
 Branch proposed
Message-Id: <20080624101752.3889.91480.launchpad@<email address hidden>>
"""

Thunderbird (and possibly others) will display this as:

Merge of ~jamesh/storm/sqlobject-contains into Storm Development Branch proposed

(there's a tab character between "Development" and "Branch")

That is how all email clients wrap long lines, including Thunderbird.

Aaron, you're saying that we generate the subject without the tab character, but mail clients introduce it to wrap long lines? Basically, there's nothing we can do about it? Is that correct?

I was saying that all mail-generating programs do this, so there is
nothing wrong with doing this ourselves. I was not saying that mail
*receiving* programs rewrap lines.

For example, the recent warthogs message "It's official: Ubuntu MID
Edition 8.04 achieves its first public release" was generated by
Thunderbird, and wraps its Subject: using a tab.

Understood. Sorry for my ignorance. I guess I just had never noticed it was
always like that and assumed that the wrong spacing in the subject line
(which shows up in a single line, not broken like in the raw headers), was
issued by broken MUAs.
