Bug Description

Binary package hint: r-base

I wish you would please make Ubuntu packages for R, which was recently released in version 2.7.1 (http://www.r-project.org). The R program has many subsidiary packages on CRAN. Some cannot be built or installed unless R is at least version 2.7.0. Could you please update the Ubuntu version?

Can we please sync r-base (2.7.1-1) from Debian unstable (main)?

For the record, you don't need to ask the Ubuntu archive admins for this if the package hasn't been modified in Ubuntu and if it's before DebianImportFreeze; we take care of it semi-automatically.

r-base 2.7.1-1 is on its way into the archive now.
