Language Problem during the install

Bug Description

During the install you get prompted for language.
If you choose American (default) then hit next you get prompted for spelling.
If you then choose you want to have UK settings. It will not let you do this
using the back function.

What version of Ubuntu were you installing? This sounds approximately like bug
#20902
, which should be fixed in Ubuntu 5.10; however, bug #20595 is also
involved, and that's extremely difficult to fix at present.

This happened on the latest version of ubuntu which i downloaded yesterday

Dear Ian,

this bug is open quite for a while. The setup has been changed a lot since then. Can we close this bug since it works on current versions?
