UME is currently using gpe-filemanager for the default file system browser. This app is fairly clumsy and poorly designed. I recommend switching to pcmanfm: http://
This app is being used in the MSG build for Jax and is more user friendly, and easier on the eyes.

+1 this app looks and feels more like a desktop app and should seriously be considered for entry if not this release then for intrepids.
