Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu Hardy Heron latest release on Acer 9303 wlmi. My graphic card is a Geforce 6100 with the nvidia-glx-new driver.
When I logout, shutdown or reboot X seems to crash, I got a black screen and stranges luminous whites "clouds" appears on the screen.
Something like it happen too when I close and re-open the laptop's screen, and then nothing to do except ctrl+alt+backspace to kill everything and login again....annoying.

This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu.
Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty?

If you don't mind, it would be very helpful if you could update the bug
report in launchpad to 'Fix Released' if it is no longer an issue for
you, or if it is still occurring under natty, please tag the bug 'natty'
so it's easier for us to track.
