Bug Description

Using Kubuntu 8.04 Remix, to reproduce this bug, open up a text-file using Dolphin, and Kate opens it up just fine. Now, without closing Kate, switch back to Dolphin and open another text-document. This will open in the same Kate window, but Dolphin will throw an error-message "KDEInit could not launch '/usr/lib/kde4/bin/kate'."

Are any Kubuntu users able to reproduce and confirm this bug?

The KDE4 dolphin lives in kdebase from Intrepid onward. :)
For what it's worth, I did experience error this with a default Intrepid install, but not for the same reason as the original reporter. I had to change the path of some file back to the Intrepid-y path of /usr instead of the Hardy path of /usr/lib/kde4/
Riddell knew which file that was, so I'll subscribe him.

Changed in dolphin:
status: New → Confirmed
Changed in kdebase:
importance: Undecided → Low
