Bug Description

Binary package hint: alltray

I am running pure up-to-date Hardy x86 on a Dell XPS M1710 laptop. When I launch apps using AllTray from the command-line--e.g. as follows:

$ alltray evolution

then the app starts up with the window shown, instead of hidden as it is supposed to be. (You are supposed to have to specify --show to make it show immediately.)

Clicking on the tray icon to hide it afterwards _does_ work, as does all other functionality that I have tested.

Also, I have desktop effects enabled.

Does the fix for bug 106583 work? Try that—which has a candidate for inclusion as a bug-fix—and let me know, if you could please. Thank you for reporting this issue and helping to improve Ubuntu!

Yup, the private .deb near the end there fixes the problem. Thanks!
