Bug Description

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron", with Compiz and Mozilla Firefox 3.0 beta 5.

This is an issue that I have noticed so far only with Firefox, but I suspect it might apply for all applications.

Sometimes applications may stop to respond and they get dimmed so they're gray.
Later they might unfreeze, and then they should get undimmed back so they get color.

Sometimes when Firefox freezes, it gets dimmed to gray, then it unfreezes, but it remains gray. It doesn't undim.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Now I am running Ubuntu 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex" with Mozilla Firefox 3.0.5.

I don't experience much Firefox freezes these days, and haven't noticed this problem lately.
Maybe it is fixed.
