Subject: terminates when visiting http://www.bof.fi/fin/0_new/0.1_valuuttak/

Package: mozilla-firefox
Version: 1.0.6-5
Severity: grave

Firefox terminates without any warning when the currency conversion
table of Bank of Finland <http://www.bof.fi/fin/0_new/0.1_valuuttak/>
is visited. I attached gdb to the mozilla-firefox process,
but it wasn't very useful: the process would terminate with status 1.

about:plugins does not report any installed plugins.

I see it too. I'll try to look at the source of page and see what's
going on later this week.

On the other hand, it doesn't happen any more with 1.5beta1.

It still terminates when I visit the page. Attached is a simplified test
case that refers to two files (CSS and a 10,000 by 1 bitmap) on the server.
Note that the HTML is valid, and also the CSS looks valid to my untrained
eye.

Can you run from a terminal and see if you get any messages?

Meanwhile, I've updated mozilla-firefox from 1.5.dfsg-3 to 1.5.dfsg-4,
and neither my simplified test case nor the original page will cause
Firefox to terminate. That is, the bug appears to be fixed in
mozilla-firefox 1.5.dfsg-4. Of course, it is also possible that the CSS
has been changed, or some data structures are aligned differently in the
new build.

Well I can't get it to crash either, so we'll close but please reopen
if it rears its head again.
