Bug Description
Binary package hint: brother-
I'm sorry, but there seems to be another bug in the printing drivers.
Nearly every application except Acrobat Reader allows to set printer-specific (paper type, paper size, layout, mirror printing, grayscale ...) settings before printing, but the drivers seems to ignore them. Instead it always chooses the setting from /usr/Brother/
So that's the solution why printing on photo paper looks so bad ...
I don't know, if #206365 is a duplicate of this but at least it is related, because there it also wasn't possible to change the paper format in an application.
Probably also other Brother drivers are affected and not only ~extra.
Besides: My DCP-120C uses the DCP-110C-driver although Brother recommends the MFC-210C-driver. But at least it's working (besides of the bug above) and probably the printing-process of both printer drivers is exactly the same.
Actually, this problem is the same as bug 206365 so I mark it as a duplicate. There is apparently something that prevent cups and any print property windows to take effect on the final print.
