Bug Description
Binary package hint: ssmtp
AuthMethod=CRAM-MD5 doesn't work on amd64-systems, just as in the upstream Debian package:
=> http://
The reason for this is that the underlying HMAC-MD5 calculation comes up with a different
result than on 32-Bit x86 systems.
Most likely this is due to problems in md5c.c, as another program
( http://
the same, wrong output.

The patch found on bug link work fine on Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 64 bits !
I have download sources (via apt-source), apply the patch, build package and install it. Now it can connect properly to my SASL Secure Postfix server.
