Bug Description

Hi you good folk.
Not sure if this is a bug, but I know it's bugging a few few people. I've been trying to install flash player onto ubuntu so that i can use opera as my browser instead of firefox and i've just noticed, from the adode download site that linux x86 platform don't supprt 'opera' only firefox/mozzila. Is this the reason why myself and 'Andrew@ who's been earing his hair out for 200 hours can't get any of the flash players to install on Opera?

Hope all is well

Here's a more thorough explanation for you:

Basically, the most recent release of Flash is incompatible with Opera, versions 9.2x and below. The 9.50 Kestrel-based betas and snapshots are compatible with the most recent Flash. I still have trouble with the most recent Flash, on AMD64, so I end up using 9r48 for everything. That article was the best explanation of the issue I could find, however.

Good luck!

Changed task to Opera as its not flash issue unless it is confirmed on
another browser. This issue doesnt seem to be a ubuntu issue at all.
opera nad flash are both under restricted licenses and im gonna close
this bug due to that reason. Also i wonder just off the record is this
our build of opera and our build of Flash? But until i see this being a
Ubuntu issue there is nothing we can do about it. Please file a bug
upstream to opera/flash about your concerns about flash/opera not being
supported by each other.

Flash doesn't work in Opera 9.27 in Hardy.
Using flashplugin-nonfree and opera packages from Ubuntu.
