Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04

Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 1718li. Wireless buttons not working. There is a script by damagedspline that fixes the problem for most amilo users.
Wireless for the laptop is Atheros 5007, but is identified incorrectly as Atheros Communications, Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

Everything else seems to be working fine

I can confirm this bug on a Acer Aspire 5315.

I had this bug on an Acer 4315 too.

corrected by adding the line:
blacklist ath_pci

 to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

What is really odd is that previous versions of the file had this blacklist entry but it got overwritten in a more recent version.

I am also having this problem on a HP dv6815nr with ubuntu 8.04. Is there a resolution coming?
