Binary package hint: moblin-applets

Description:

In Ubuntu HardyPPA image (menlow-lpia-ubuntu-hardy-ppa), it intergrated mousepad but cannot launch it from console, shows "segment fault" error.
Suggest to set importance to "Medium".

Reproduced steps:

1. Open one terminal and input command "mousepad".

Current result:
-------------
In step1, it shows "segment fault" error. Actually, it installed mousepad packages.

Expected result:
-------------
In step1, it should launch mousepad from console.

The crash is a problem with moblin's matchbox-keyboard; reverting to matchbox-keyboard 0.1+svn20070815-0ubuntu5 fixes the crash. Removing /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules/libmb-im-invoker.so is another way to work around the crash.

It is a general problem with GtkTextView - any program that uses GtkTextView will crash.

Does it happen with hardy's matchbox-keyboard, or with the ppa one? Could submitters please report their version of the package?

Not a bug in Ubuntu (version 0.1+svn20070815-0ubuntu5 is in Ubuntu), but in Moblin upstream (and hence in ubuntu-mobile etc.).

Verified in latest hardy ppa mousepad 0.2.13-2ubuntu2~804um1 and matchbox-keyboard 0.5-0ubuntu1, the issue is fixed, close it.
